The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.

Applications are now open and may shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should satisfy the subsequent requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house that has a combined gross house earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined family profits will not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not submit any proof of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for my nsfas each annum.

Applicants are reminded to offer the right Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected inside their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or intend to research nsfas application at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All nsfas 2025 students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
